The artist was one of the most important painters and frescos of the Tuscan Rococo.

He worked a lot in Florence and in the florentine region as well as in Pisa Pistoia and Prato where churches and palaces retain a considerable number of his works.

The artist devoted himself with particular interest to the mythological theme in the wake of contemporary Giambattista Tiepolo.

He decorated among others the Palazzo Taddei, Roffa, Ginori, Rucellai and Panciatichi in Florence.

The work discussed here belongs to this period, even if for the moment it has not been possible to trace the fresco for which it was conceived.
