The decoration is centered on an architectural capriccio with ruins. The composition includes a plinth supporting a monumental flaming urn, a second figural urn supported by a telamon beside a winged putto blowing a cornucopia, and a female bust crowned with laurel. To the left, the landscape is animated by two dogs, one of them winged. The painterly handling is characterized by a palette dominated by violet-grey, yellow-orange, and dark green tones.

The rim, with its shaped and undulating profile, is decorated with C-scroll cartouches enriched with dotted diaper-work patterns, from which delicate flowering tendrils extend.

The piece testifies to the high level of craftsmanship achieved by Giorgio Giacinto Rossetti, a key figure in the dissemination of French decorative models across Northern Italy, first in the Turin milieu and later in Lodi. While the decoration of the dish derives from the rocaille figurée of Fauchier in Marseille, it clearly reveals the stylistic and formal independence characteristic of Rossetti’s work.

The dish is in an excellent state of preservation, with only minor chips along the rim.
